MIKE GRADY’S North Wales Crusaders side will travel to Cumbria on Sunday where they will face Workington Town in a Betfred League One clash at Derwent Park.
Both sides enter Sunday’s game on the back of Challenge Cup victories, but will now be turning their attention back to the league following disappointing starts.
Having made a number of changes to his squad for last Sunday’s victory over Keighley, Mike Grady will have another selection headache for this weekend’s trip to Cumbria.
However, he has confirmed that both Joe Bate and Callan Beckett could be doubts for the game due to injuries whilst Warren Thompson is unavailable due to a long-term injury.
Grady On Workington:
North Wales Crusaders head coach Mike Grady has shared his thoughts on Sunday’s opponents: “Workington have a very strong side and have recruited well during the off-season.
“They have added some really experienced players to their side, and also players who have Super League experience, so it’s going to be a tough game.
“They’ll be disappointed with their opening round defeat against Keighley and will want to get some points on the board.
“From our point of view, we want to build on the draw against London and we will travel to Cumbria with some confidence following last weekend’s result in in the cup.”
Workington Town play their home games at Derwent Park.
