LOCAL children at the Wrexham Maelor Hospital are set to receive Easter eggs donated by the public of Wrexham, following a new initiative launched by North Wales Crusaders’ community section.
The club are asking for supporters, members of the public and local businesses to drop-off Easter eggs at North Wales Crusaders home games or the Queensway Stadium on Wednesday’s between 9.00am – 5.00pm, and they will then be delivered to the hospital’s children’s ward.
Speaking about the initiative, North Wales Crusaders’ community liaison officer Mark Robinson said: “As the club looks to build our presence in the community, we’re always looking for new ways to give back to the people of North Wales.
“This is one of several new initiatives which we’ve been planning, and it would be fantastic to see both local businesses and members of the public get behind the idea by donating an Easter egg.
“Club representatives will then deliver the eggs to the ward during the Easter week.
“I’m also looking to speak with any local businesses who would be interested in becoming a drop-off point.”
